Academic conferences organized or co-organized by the IGdJ bring together researchers from different levels of qualification and disciplines for international exchange.
Jewish Film Club
Together with the Metropolis Kino, a local movie theater, the IGdJ organizes the “Jewish Film Club,” which aims at both Jewish and non-Jewish Hamburg audiences. We regularly present international motion pictures exploring the diversity of Jewish life, with each event featuring a brief scholarly introduction before and discussion after the film.
