Helena Geibel M.A.

About:

Helena Geibel has been a research assistant at the IGdJ since 2024. Within the IGdJ’s #DigitalJewishHistory section, she works at the intersection of research and outreach. Her responsibilities include the co-conception and implementation of digital projects, as well as the technical support for existing online resources. She is also responsible for the technical development and implementation of the online exhibitions as part of the online source edition ‘Key Documents on German-Jewish History’. Prior to this, she studied International Literature and English Language and Literature, as well as German Literature with a specialisation in Digital Humanities, at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. Her bachelor’s thesis examined Feuerbach’s and Freud’s critique of religion, whilst her master’s thesis explored the influences of Romanticism on fantasy literature for children and young adults in the late 20th century. In the field of Digital Humanities, she‘s focused on front-end web development and Computational Literary Studies.
